Harlan Ellison & Paul Chadwick Launch “7 Against Chaos” At DC

Writer Harlan Ellison has been a fixture of comics culture for decades, but even in recent years when the legendary sci-fi scribe has brought his ideas to the four-color form, he’s rarely launched a brand new story in comics.

That changes this summer as DC Comics team Ellison with “Concrete” creator Paul Chadwick and veteran colorist Ken Stacey for “Harlan Ellison’s 7 Against Chaos.” Described in an announcement on SyFy’s Blastr site as a graphic novel, the series will serialize starting mid 2013. The publisher provided the following description of the series:

In a distant future, Earth is in grave danger: The fabric of reality itself in unraveling, leading to catastrophic natural disasters, displaced souls appearing from bygone eras, and sudden, shocking cases of spontaneous combustion. The only hope for Earth’s survival is a force of seven warriors, each with his or her special abilities. But can these alien Seven Samurai learn to get along in time to find the source of the gathering chaos and save all of reality?

Stay tuned to CBR News for more on Ellison and Chadwick’s newest project.
