Based on the Image Comics series of the same name by writer Grant Morrison and artist Darick Robertson, Happy! is a dark, violent and psychedelic romp that tells the story of an unstable ex-cop (Christopher Meloni)) who hallucinates a cartoonish unicorn (voiced by Patton Oswalt) that can somehow help him save his estranged daughter from a kidnapping. The series has been a hit for the Syf, with its premiere delivering the network's largest audience since January 2016.

Happy! struck a chord with our SYFY audience and disrupted the TV landscape with its unique storytelling and outrageous performances led by Christopher Meloni," NBCUniversal's Chris McCumber said in a statement. "If people thought this season was crazy – I can’t wait for fans to see what Grant Morrison, Brian Taylor and the entire cast and crew have in store for Sax and Happy!"
