The first full-length trailer for Syfy's Happy! has been released online. The show, which is based on an adaptation of Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson's Image Comics series by the same name, stars Christopher Meloni and Patton Oswalt.
The series is executive produced by Morrison and Brian Taylor, who wrote the pilot together. Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty and Toby Jaffe of Original Film will executive produce alongside Meloni and showrunner Patrick Macmanus. Taylor directed the pilot, which airs in December. The first season will run for eight episodes, and sees a former cop team with an imaginary horse -- read the official synopsis below for the full rundown.
"The series follows Nick Sax – an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hitman – who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named 'Happy.'"
Happy!, which premieres on Dec. 6 at 10/9c on Syfy, stars Christopher Meloni as Sax and Patton Oswalt as Happy. Meloni and Oswalt are joined by Patrick Fischler as Smoothie, Ritchie Coster as Mr. Blue (aka Leonardo Scaramucci) and Zabryna Geuvara as Amanda Hansen.
