Hansen & Petersen named NOW Comics Directors

Official Press Release

March 31, 2004, Marc Hansen and Barry Petersen have been named as additions to the Board of Directors of NOW Media Group, Inc. according to NOW Comics founder Tony Caputo.

"As shareholders, both of these excellent gentlemen will have voting rights at the annual board meeting, scheduled at the end of each calendar year," Caputo said. "Both also have a minority stake in NOW Media Group, Inc. an Illinois corporation, which owns NOW Comics as an imprint and trademark."

The purpose of the company's Board is to protect the shareholders' assets and ensure the best return on investment for the new NOW Comics.

"Both Barry and Marc invested years in the previous incarnations of NOW Comics and deserve seats on the Board. Aside from just being the right thing to do, we certainly hope this will foster a solid atmosphere, promote continually better decisions, and help to generate the benefits of a successful company," Caputo said.

Marc Hansen was with NOW Comics since the days of Fangraphix (1984-85), and created a loyal and substantial following with his creation, Ralph Snart Adventures since it's NOW Comics debut in 1986.

Barry Petersen first joined the original NOW Comics as a freelance artist and writer in the late 1980s. He then joined NOW Entertainment, NOW's second iteration as the Creative Director in the early 1990s.

"Both Marc and Barry deserve a more active and official role in the company's short term and long term plans," Caputo added. "An active, experienced, and involved board is essential for NOW Comics' future success and profitability. I believe their addition is a major step in that direction."

"I think that this is a good thing, and a step in the right direction for NOW", said Hansen. "All of our experience will certainly help make NOW a stronger and better company than before. A lot of things have culminated to this point in time, and it will only benefit NOW and the people who purchase our products."

"It's kind of ironic that both Marc and I first joined Tony at the same time. The debut of Ralph Snart ran in the same issue of Fangraphix as my LionHart feature" Petersen said. "I watched NOW Comics emerge from its humble beginnings, to an international company. It's good to share a more intimate part of that this time around."

The new company's "virtual" nature will provide stockholder meetings not only when Petersen, Hansen and Caputo find each other together at events, but also through chat and teleconferencing technologies.

There are many more methods of communications available for shareholders today as twenty years ago. This is a major asset in accessing the right information and advice for the right business decisions.
