Zachary Quinto will guest star in at least one episode of "Hannibal's" upcoming third season, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The actor, who currently stars in the NBC limited series "The Slap," will appear in the thriller as a patient of Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier, the psychotherapist played by Gillian Anderson.

Best known for his portrayals of Sylar on NBC's "Heroes" and Spock in the rebooted "Star Trek" film franchise, Quinto memorably played a psychiatrist/serial killer in the second season of "American Horror Story."

Returning this summer, "Hannibal" has also added "The Hobbit" star Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde, aka the Tooth Fairy, and "True Blood" alum Rutina Wesley as Reba McClane, a blind woman who helps to sooth his killer instinct. Both are characters from Thomas Harris' 1981 novel "Red Dragon."
