Making the wait for "Hannibal's" second season a little more bearable, NBC has released a gruesome yet strangely beautiful video that examines the legacy of the title character through footage from Season 1.

"One of the most powerful forces that shapes us as human beings is the desire to leave a legacy," Mads Mikkelsen's Dr. Lecter says. "What legacy would you leave behind?"

Premiering June 4, the new season will borrow material from Thomas Harris’ 1981 novel “Red Dragon," with “The Hobbit” star Richard Armitage playing Francis Dolarhyde, aka the Tooth Fairy, and “True Blood” alum Rutina Wesley portraying Reba McClane, a blind woman who helps to sooth his killer instinct.
