The Hollywood adaptation of Nathan Edmondson and Tonci Zonjic's "Who is Jake Ellis?" Image Comics series is gaining more steam as Variety reports "Hanna" writer Seth Lochhead has been tapped to script the film for 20th Century Fox. Lochhead's only major writing credit is 2011's "Hannah," but he's also doing work on the script for Sony's film adaptation of the "Shadow of the Colossus" video game as well as "Age of Miracles."

Edmondson and Zonjic's "Who is Jake Ellis?" centers on Jon Moore, former CIA analyst that escaped from an illegal laboratory and began seeing ghostly apparition Jake Ellis, who has an extensive knowledge of espionage. Using Jake's skills and advice, Moore becomes a criminal in Western Europe, but when a job goes wrong, he must head back to the illegal facility to uncover the secrets of his imprisonment and Jake.

In addition to the series' sequel, "Where is Jake Ellis?," Edmondson is also writing "Punisher" and "Black Widow" for Marvel Comics, with a Deathlok-themed story set to debut in the publisher's "Original Sins" miniseries this summer.

Announced in October 2013, "Who is Jake Ellis?" is helmed by "Harry Potter" director David Yates with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping attached to produce.
