The fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy will indeed receive a new -- or, rather, old -- look in Solo: A Star Wars Story, with leaked images of LEGO sets confirming the film will depict the Millennium Falcon in its original form.

The images also suggest that purported promo art debunked last week by Disney and Lucasfilm is actually official enough to grace LEGO packaging.

Star Wars fans have long known that Han Solo made "special modifications" to the old Corellian freighter, but in the upcoming film we'll see just how extensive those were. The "Kessel Run Millennium Falcon" set -- yes, we'll apparently see the fabled Kessel Run -- depicts not only a blue paint job but, most notably, the absence of the ship's signature front-facing mandibles. While the Falcon's overall shape and other signature design element -- the side cockpit -- remain, look is decidedly different.

As the official entry on the Millennium Falcon explains, "A succession of owners, from Lando Calrissian and Han Solo to Gannis Ducain, have made special modifications that boosted the freighter’s speed, shielding and firepower to impressive – and downright illegal – levels. The price of such tinkering? The Falcon can be unpredictable, with her hyperdrive particularly balky."

Presumably in Solo, the Falcon will be a little more reliable -- or at least no one will have to offer to get out and push.

Directed by Ron Howard from a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Michael K. Williams and Woody Harrelson. The film opens May 25, 2018.
