Speaking with Entertainment Weekly about the next Star Wars anthology release, Kennedy characterized it as "a heist, gunslinger type movie," which is very much in line with what was already known. However, she provided additional detail, calling out that roller coast-like train depicted in the first footage. It's The Conveyex, from which Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) must steal something to prove himself to his scoundrel peers.

The EW story also revealed the names of some of the new characters introduced in Solo, including Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, Thandie Newton as Val, Paul Bettany as crime boss Dryden Vos and Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the droid L3-37.
