Since stepping in to helm the Han Solo movie in June, Oscar winner Ron Howard has regularly released glimpses behind the scenes of the Star Wars anthology film. In the latest tease, he offers a peek inside what certainly appears to be the Millennium Falcon, where the director cautions the life of a smuggler can be "stressful."
Although the film was already well into production when Howard came aboard, replacing fired directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, he's seemingly made the project his own during reshoots, bringing in Paul Bettany in place of Michael K. Williams.
The film is expected to depict Han and Chewbacca's first meeting with Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover), as well as Woody Harrelson's Beckett mentoring the master marksman on his journey to becoming the famed smuggler.
Based on a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, the Han Solo spinoff stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, in addition to Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Woody Harrelson. The as-yet-untitled film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
