Now that Ron Howard is in the director's chair for the Han Solo Star Wars anthology film, everything is in full swing -- which apparently includes fists, as the Oscar winner teased in a behind-the-scenes photo.
The image depicts the monitor Howard sees as director, revealing what appears to be a brawl in an otherworldly cantina, certainly a fitting setting, as that's where fans were first introduced to the smuggler in 1977's Star Wars.
Howard has been offering glimpses from the set of the spinoff since shortly after he replaced Phil Lord and Chris Miller in June. We've seen signs of the Galactic Empire, a close-up of everyone's favorite Wookiee, a burning R2 unit and a farewell to Lando Calrissian actor Donald Glover.
But even as the Han Solo movie inches closer to completion there's been another upheaval in the Star Wars universe, with director Colin Trevorrow abruptly departing Episode IX. A search is under way for his successor.
Based on a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, the Han Solo spinoff stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, in addition to Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Woody Harrelson. The still-untitled film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
