Halo Web Series to Roll Out Before Release of Next Game

The $2 billion juggernaut that is Halo will add another feather to its mutli-platform cap with a live-action web series in anticipation of the Nov. 6 release of Halo 4. Variety reports that Microsoft has created five 15-minute installments of a story called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn that will air every week leading up until the game's release.

Fans will remember that a live-action film was in the works with Halo commercial director Neil Blomkamp (District 9) at the helm and Peter Jackson producing, but that fell through in 2005. If the web series, which will play on Machinima and Halo Waypoint, does well, perhaps Hollywood will take notice and get that Warthog rolling again.
