This official announcement confirms Halo Infinite's leaked release date, which was spotted in an updated Microsoft Store listing by one keen-eyed user on Twitter. Although the leak specified the game's campaign mode, fans can now expect both Halo Infinite's campaign and standalone free-to-play multiplayer game mode to launch together this December.

With the Microsoft Store listing the download size for both Infinite's campaign and multiplayer modes at 50GB each, it appears as though the game's leaked total download size of 97GB has also proved accurate. The one remaining leak for Halo Infinite is a rumored battle royale mode, which dataminers reportedly found the audio for from long-time Halo announcer Jeff Steitzer saying the words, "Battle Royale." As such, it seems as though eager fans will have to stay tuned to this year's Gamescom for more potential information.

Halo Infinite releases its campaign and multiplayer modes on Dec. 8 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Though you can purchase them together, Halo Infinite campaign will be offered at full price upon release. while the multiplayer will be free.
