The minimum and recommended PC specs for Halo Infinite were recently published on Steam.

Master Chief's latest adventure, his first on next-gen hardware, won't require the beefiest rig around. While many fans were apprehensive about the necessary specs needed to run 343 Industries' latest shooter, Halo Infinite's official Steam page confirms that fans won't need the latest hardware... but it will certainly help.

The minimum system requirements for Halo Infinite:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64
  • Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

Players looking to push the game to its graphical limits will obviously require some chunkier components. To get the most out of Halo Infinite, fans will need:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 19H2 x64
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

While 50GB of storage may be steep for some players, it's a major improvement over the rumored download size. A recent listing on the Microsoft Store suggested that Halo Infinite players would need to download a heft 97.24GB.

Halo Infinite will place players back into the stoic boots of Master Chief, a Spartan warrior who's tasked with repelling the Banished, a terrifying race of aliens. Launching on Dec. 8 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, players will be able to access the game's single-player campaign and multiplayer suite on release. A co-op option for the game's campaign will be added as a free post-launch update.

While little is currently known about Halo Infinite's campaign, lucky fans were recently permitted to give the game's multiplayer a go during a closed beta. Limited to 4v4 Slayer against bots with scaling AI, many players praised the mode for improving on the foundation of the beloved franchise while still retaining the roots that made the original games so enjoyable.

Fans less interested in Halo Infinite's campaign will be pleased to know that the game's entire multiplayer suite will be available as a standalone, free-to-play product. This change suggests that players who purchase Halo Infinite may be able to install the game's multiplayer and single-player modes separately. Confirmation on this will likely come closer to the game's launch.
