Official Press Release

Chicago, IL. (Feb. 14, 2008) – Stefan Hutchinson's true-to-history

story combined with artist Tim Seeley's dark vision were enough to

sell all of Devil's Due's initial stock of Halloween: Nightdance #1.

The first issue of the new 4-issue miniseries premiered on shelves

February 6 and in less than a week has sold out on the distributor

level with Devil's Due's last stock on its way to satisfy orders.

"It's great news that the books have found an audience so quickly, and

it's a testament to the endurance of John Carpenter's classic film

that the character of Michael Myers is still so popular in

2008-exactly 30 years after he first began terrorizing audiences,"

said Hutchinson. "Hopefully, this will lead to the release of many

more Halloween books, which is great, because we have a lot of stories

planned."

Despite overprinting and healthy orders from Diamond Comic

Distributors at the distributor level, Halloween: Nightdance proved to

be understimated at the retailer level, where new orders are now being

filled as the last of the the issue's first print run is shipped to

Diamond.

"We're really glad to see Halloween: Nightdance exceeding expectations

with the first print now selling out," said Devil's Due President Josh

Blaylock.

In addition to issues left on comic book retailer shelves, copies of

Nightdance #1's exclusive movie tribute cover also remain available

for a limited time at Devil's Due's webstore.

Devil's Due is currently planning a second printing with details to be

announced soon.
