Laurie Strode is joined by her daughter and granddaughter in a new featurette and poster for Halloween Kills.

The featurette sees Jamie Lee Curtis discuss playing her "warrior" character, who has trained Karen and Allyson to be like her. As director David Gordon Green states, "They have taken the torch from Laurie to try to put evil to rest." The poster released alongside it reflects this, placing all three of them in focus. Michael Myers is absent from the poster, signalling that they are taking back control from the mysterious figure who has haunted their lives for four decades.

Halloween Kills is set directly after 2018's Halloween, which served as a sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 classic. The film ignored all other Halloween installments, charting a new timeline where an older Michael Myers begins his reign of terror anew, decades after that fateful night in 1978. A promo for Halloween Kills revealed the return of several characters from the original film, many of whom are played by the same actors. Producer Ryan Freimann recently expressed his desire to bring franchise veteran Danielle Harris back in a new role.

Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak. The film arrives both in theaters and on Peacock on Oct. 15.
