Halloween director David Gordon Green shared a sneak peek of Michael Myers' latest prowl.

Green shared an image of the iconic masked killer featured in Halloween Kills with Total Film as he discussed his plans for bringing him back. "It's all about the creation of fear," Green said.

"It's one thing to be afraid of the Bogey Man, to have someone who might be in the closet, under the bed, creeping around your house... But we wanted to explore next was confusion, misinformation, and paranoia," he told the publication. "What happens when fear goes viral? You can’t just stick your head under the covers anymore."

Green shared that Halloween Kills will be more action-packed than his 2018 predecessor/reboot. He framed this film as being less personal than 2018's Halloween, which primarily focused on the relationship between Michael Myers and his sister Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) as an older woman obsessed with privacy and protection.

"When we made the last one we wanted to find a way for someone who’s never seen the original to get up to speed with the story," he said. "But this one gets right to the action. It’s very aggressive. It’s more efficient. We wanted it to be an explosive middle before things get streamlined and personal again."

Actor Jamie Lee Curtis recently said Halloween Kills will be exploring the dangers of mob mentality. "What we were seeing around the country of the power, of the rage of voices, big groups of people coming together enraged at the set of circumstances, that's what the movie is. The movie is about a mob," Curtis said in a prior interview with SiriusXM's Jess Cagle.

"It's very interesting because it takes on what happens when trauma infects an entire community," Curtis added. She also revealed then that the movie's working title was at first Mob Rules for how heavily it focused on the power of collected groups.

Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends are -- as of this writing -- the last two planned films within the franchise, both directed by Green.

Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier, Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak and Judy Greer. The film arrives in theaters on Oct. 15. Its follow up, Halloween Ends is currently set for a theatrical release in 2022.
