Producer Ryan Freimann shared an up close and bloody behind-the-scenes photo of Michael Myers from the set of Halloween Kills.

Freimann shared the photo on his Instagram and noted in the caption that it was "shot October 10, 2019, at 1:08am in Wilmington, NC," with actor James Jude Courtney as the man under the mask, portraying Michael Myers. A second photo offers an even closer look of Michael's hands and his butcher knife which are both covered in blood.

This is not the first time Freimann has shared BTS photos from the set of Halloween Kills. In April, the producer shared an image of a station wagon with the Smith's Grove Sanitarium seal on the side, which is the name of the hospital where Michael Myers was imprisoned after killing his sister in the original '78 film. Another behind-the-scenes photo from 2019 also indicated that part of the film will take place around Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, which is where Michael stalked Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode in 1981's Halloween II.

2018's Halloween serves as a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original 1978 slasher of the same name. The film was a massive box office success, leading to two more sequels, the first Halloween Kills which is set to release in 2022. Universal Pictures released an official trailer for Halloween Kills last month, which revealed that the film will pick up where the 2018 Halloween left off, after Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her family trapped the masked killer in the basement and set the house ablaze, seemingly killing him. However, as Halloween fans know, Michael Myers is not that easy get rid of.

Directed by David Gordon Green, Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Anthony Michael Hall, Kyle Richards, Robert Longstreet, Nancy Stephens, Charles Cyphers, James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle. The film arrives in theaters Oct. 15.
