Halloween Kills star Jamie Lee Curtis revealed in a new interview she only had one request regarding her character, Laurie Strode, in the latest Halloween film.

"My only input in the 2021 movie was about the hospital gown because Laurie is wounded and has a surgery in a hospital," Curtis told Variety. "My concern was they had written scenes where Laurie is running down the hall with her daughter in a hospital gown."

The actor further revealed that, during early conversations about the hospital scene, she made it clear to director David Gordon Green that "hospital gowns are not hot and they're not tough." "You put Arnold Schwarzenegger in a hospital gown, he looks like a wimp," Curtis explained. "They're designed for a specific purpose, but they just don't help you create a character."

As such, Curtis' biggest challenge was making sure that Laurie got out of the hospital gown and into her real clothes before running down the hallway, noting, "I was a little bit vocal about how soon we could get Laurie back in her clothes."

"The idea of me running down a hall of a hospital with my ass hanging out of a hospital gown just seemed counterproductive… My only contribution really was putting her back in her bloody old clothes," she joked. "That of course wouldn't have existed because they would have cut her clothes off. Anyway, we have a lot of logic police going on."

During the same conversation, the actor also revealed she had no idea the most recent Halloween films were planned as a trilogy. "I felt the reason I said yes to the movie was because it was so clear that the intention of the movie felt right to me," she said. "...Only when we were editing and doing the final touches of the 2018 movie, did I find out that they were going to make another movie."

Curtis made her debut as Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween. She reprised the role in Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), Halloween: Resurrection (2002), Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills (2021). She is expected to appear in the role for the final time in 2022's Halloween Ends.

In other Halloween Kills news, producer Malek Akkad recently revealed why Paul Rudd didn't reprise his role as the adult version of Tommy in the latest film. "It would have warmed my heart and definitely there's some disappointment there," Akkad said at a recent press event. "Because Paul Rudd is so big for a lot of things like comedy and whatever, he's a fantastic actor, I think it turned out this way for a reason and we're so excited. Anthony Michael Hall does a knockout performance, it's definitely gonna be one of the fans' favorites." Fans may recall that Rudd appeared as Tommy in 1995's Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

Halloween Kills is currently in theaters and on Peacock now.
