Haikyuu is one of the leading sports anime of the 21st century. Following the steps of the legend Slam Dunk, Haikyuu gives the fans a new fresh and exciting story full of action and comedy. Although his height is considered to be his biggest disadvantage, Hinata has an incredible jumping ability that makes him rivals the giant players of volleyball.

Hinata’s goal is to stay the longest period of time on the volleyball court. However, when faced with a strong opponent, Hinata realizes that he still needs to work harder to achieve his goal. Swearing to surpass Kageyama, “the king of the court,” Hinata surprisingly finds himself in the same high-school volleyball as Kageyama. The story takes off with the two rivals/teammates competing with each other and against other teams. The series is full of comedy and with overwhelming and exhilarating action scenes that leave Haikyuu fans absolutely breathless.

10 Hinata’s First Match vs Kageyama: Season 1 ep 1

In his very first match against Kageyama’s team, Hinata displays incredible physical ability. Although his team is losing the match badly, Hinata does not lose the hope of winning. His will to stay on the volleyball court as long as possible makes Hinata fight even in the most hopeless situations.

After being insulted and looked down upon by Kageyama, Hinata declares rivalry against Kageyama. One of Hinata’s team players makes a mistake sending the ball into the opposite direction where no one is. However, in an amazing scene, Hinata manages to reach the ball using his physical agility.

Hinata discovers that his rival, Kageyama, is also a freshman of his school. This means that the two opponents will be in the same volleyball team which does not settle the score between the two. This high tension and quarrel between them make the Captain of the team reject their applications unless they show a sense of teamwork.

Hinata and Kageyama find themselves in a three-on-three match to prove themselves worthy of being members of the Karasuno Volleyball Team. In a fantastic moment, Hinata trusts Kageyama completely and blindly spikes the ball to score a point.

8 Asahi’s Comeback: Season 1 ep 9

Being away from the volleyball courts for so long, Asahi Azumane loses some of his confidence. The narratives, however, gets him right into it. In a three-on-three practice match, Asahi takes the Ace position and becomes the main attacker of his team.

Realizing that his teammates are putting enormous effort into setting the ball for him, Asahi notices that he is not playing for himself only. Therefore, and for the sake of his team, Asahi unleashes a spike that thrusts through Kageyama, Tanaka, and Tsukishima’s wall. This exhilarating scene causes Asahi to regain his confidence.

Faced with the Iron Wall, the Karasuno team starts running out of option. Fortunately, Karasuno’s defense is holding up thanks to Daichi and Nishinoya’s great experience. However, Karasuno must win some points and takes its revenge from the Date Tech Team.

Date Tech’s fast agility and ability to adapt forces the setter Kageyama to switch gears and tactics. At last, Hinata coordinates with Kageyama and serves as a decoy. This opens a window for Asahi to break through Dope Tech’s defense and score a nice point.

6 Hinata’s new quick spike: Season 2 ep 10

During the training camp, the Karasuno team endeavors a new quest for developing its more underrated members. The team is separated into groups so that everyone can focus on developing new techniques. The chance of having other strong opponents in the training camp makes it a great opportunity for Karasuno to grow.

On their last training day, Kageyama and Hinata face Fukurodani, again. Kageyama notices that the team has finally come into harmony and they gained momentum. Suddenly, Hinata jumps in the middle of the air asking for a quick spike from Kageyama. The latter hesitated since he didn’t want to break the team’s momentum. However, he ends up setting for Hinata which creates a new quick spike attack for the two.

5 Final Point Vs Date Tech: Season 1 ep 18

Their match against Date Tech has reached its peak. Karasuno has done a great job gaining some points that put them ahead of their opponents. However, the team is running out of options.

Within the intensity of a hard game, Karasuno relies on Asahi to score the points. Doing that against the Iron Wall of Date Tech is a tough mission, but Asahi is bigger than that. He actually manages to blast through the Iron Wall with all his power to win Karasuno the final point.

4 Tsushikima’s block vs Ushijima: Season 3 ep 4

Always looking unbothered and not caring for the whole volleyball sports, Tsushikima is the most passive team member of Karasuno. Tsushikima always seems as if he does not have any passion whatsoever for Volleyball. However, in the third season of Haikyuu, this will change.

When facing Shiratorizawa, Tsushikima is determined to block Ushijima’s strong spikes. In an intense fight against a rare left-handed opponent, Tsushikima finally tastes the sweetness of Volleyball when he stops Ushijima from scoring against Karasuno. The fighting spirit then burns furiously inside Tsushikima’s heart which makes him scream out loud.

3 Nishinoya’s double save: Season 3 ep 9

The Spring High National Tournament’s final match is on fire. Trying to prove themselves to Shiratorizawa and everyone else, Karasuno is fighting with everything they have. The fact that the “flightless crows” has made it this far is enough to prove that they don’t deserve that nickname.

In the middle of the heat, Shiratorizawa starts a furious attack that leaves Daichi frozen. However, Nishinoya saves the ball in a split second. Fascinating enough, another immediate attack takes place only to be blocked by Nishinoya, again, in an impossible position.

2 Final point vs Shiratorizawa: Season 3 ep 10

Karasuno’s match against Shiratorizawa has reached its final chapter. The Spring High National Tournament’s final is getting an unexpected closure. Karasuno and Shiratorizawa are standing neck to neck against each other.

Karasuno’s players are all under a hell of pressure which is literally pushing them down. In one of the most amazing scenes of Haikyuu, the whole team collaborates into stealing a chance ball. With a rotating camera movement that captures the whole members of the team jumping in the middle of the air, Hinata spikes the ball with all his might scoring the final point for Kurasuno.

1 Final point vs Aoba Johsai: Season 2 ep 24

Saving the best to the scene from the whole Haikyuu franchise is the last moment of the match between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai. With both teams trying their best to win the match, an intense struggle takes place.

Both teams demonstrate high skills, however, only one team gets to be the winner. Karasuno displays excellent teamwork and fighting spirit; a burning flame that manages to win against Aoba Johsai. With the ball moving from one hand to the other and between the two adversaries, Tanaka saves the ball, and Asahi scores the final blasting point for Karasuno.
