A Haikyu!! fan artist has brought the "calm before the storm" to life.Instead of capturing the Karasuno players in the midst of playing a match, in mid-jump or mid-spike, Laurart's (Laurarts_23) decided to focus on the moment before Karasuno takes flight. In the middle is Hinata gazing to the front. Usually, the short middle blocker is a nervous wreck, often running to the washroom because of a bad stomachache, but when he's standing on the court, there's an eerie sort of calm in his aura, which the fan art depicts. Hinata's partner, the genius setter Kageyama, is looking straight at the "camera," the expression in his eyes unwavering and confident.RELATED: The Importance of 'Breakups' in Sports Anime

Haikyu!!’s Weird Duo Was the Focal Point in the Fan Art

While the focus is on Karasuno's "weirdo duo," the artist ensured that fans could still see the expressions of the other players. Standing at the farthest left is Tanaka, sizing up the competition. Beside him is libero extraordinaire "Karasuno's Guardian Deity," Nishinoya, who is hunched over, also keeping a watchful eye on their opponents. Third-years Suga and Daichi's determination is evident by how they lift their chins up. Laurart's fan art has gathered over 20,000 likes as of this article's publication.
