A photo was posted to Duggan's Instagram account by his wife, Debra, showing the legend resting comfortably in a hospital bed, giving his fans a big grin and a thumbs up.
Debra captioned the photo with the message, "This picture is hours after his second emergency surgery in 24 hours. He had a severe infection but we think we got all of it although he will be in the hospital for a few more days. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers."
Duggan's journey with professional wrestling dates back to his days as a multi-sport athlete in high school. He focused on football in high school and college before knee injuries sidelined his professional football career. His professional wrestling career has stretched over four decades under different organizations such as WWE and WCW. Duggan's signature 2x4 wood and 'Hoooo!' catchphrase led to him becoming the first Royal Rumble winner in 1998. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
