Gwyneth Paltrow played a character who has had a tremendous impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since it began with 2008's Iron Man. Pepper Potts began as Tony Stark's assistant and ended as his wife and the mother of his child in Avengers: Endgame -- as well as a superhero in her own right. Paltrow has previously said she's done playing the character, but it now seems she's leaving the door open just a crack.

However, she's not up for another major commitment of time. "I think if it was a small part that I could do in like a day or two, I would of course be open to that," said Paltrow while speaking on People TV.

Although Paltrow has long been considered a pillar of the MCU, she retreated from the franchise and cut back on her acting career as a whole after Endgame, focusing instead on her business ventures. She has even admitted to getting her Marvel films mixed up after appearing in so many, and has claimed that her return would hinge on that of her longtime co-star, Robert Downey Jr.

Downey's mainstay Tony Stark has a low probability of returning from the dead, so it seems that any major role for Pepper Potts has also been written out of future films. As the character was last seen alive and well, though, Paltrow's consideration of a brief cameo could have plenty of potential.
