An upcoming series of variant covers reimagines Spider-Gwen as different members of the X-Men.

To celebrate the release of Spider-Gwen: Gwen-Verse, Marvel's mutants travel through the multiverse in variant covers that depict Gwen Stacy as various members of the X-Men. The covers will be drawn by some of the top artists working in comics today, including the likes of Nick Bradshaw, Rian Gonzales, Phil Noto, Pete Woods, Rod Reis, David Nakayama and Nick Dragotta. The line will appear across 11 different Marvel titles over the course of February, and sees Gwen cast as X-Men members Jean Grey, Mystique, Emma Frost, Cyclops, Rogue, Domino, Gambit, Wolverine, Dark Phoenix, Captain Britain and Polaris.

Spider-Gwen: Gwen-Verse is a five-issue miniseries written by Tim Seeley and drawn by Jodi Nishijima. In it, the Gwen Stacy that fans know and love travels to alternate realities, taking on the mantle of heroes like Iron Man and Captain America. The storyline is reminiscent of other multiverse-themed Spider-series like Venom-Verse and Spider-Verse, which in the past have spawned new spider-heroes like Spider-Gwen herself.

Though she's traditionally associated with the Spider-Man family of titles, this wave of variants isn't Gwen Stacy's first time making her way over to the X-Men. In 2015, Marvel celebrated the final issue of the initial Spider-Gwen mini-series with a line of Gwen Stacy covers across various titles. Among the 20 covers produced for the promotion, the art by Chris Bachalo that was featured on Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars #2 was in such high demand that Marvel used the Gwen/Deadpool hybrid's design to create the aptly-named Gwenpool. She was given a back-up feature in Howard the Duck later that year, before eventually receiving multiple Gwenpool series.

While the most-popular X-Men get their Gwen-Verse makeovers, some of the misfit mutants will be getting a special spotlight of their own. Also in February, Marvel will be releasing Secret X-Men #1, an oversized one-shot written by Tini Howard and drawn by Francesco Mobili that stars the losers of the fabled X-Vote. Additionally, February sees the release of the long-delayed ongoing series X-Cellent, written by Peter Milligan and drawn by the team of Michael and Laura Allred.
