Marvel Comics has officially announced Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones, a new five-part limited series that transforms Gwen Stacy into five of Spider-Man's most notorious adversaries.
Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones is written by Emily Kim (Silk, Tiger Division), illustrated by Kei Zama (Edge of Spider-Verse, Marvel's Voices: Identity) and features designs by Peach Momoko. Due for launch in March 2023, the series re-imagines Gwen as Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Vulture, Rhino and Kraven the Hunter. Each issue will ship with an homage variant cover by Greg Land. At this time, the House of Ideas has unveiled the first four variants, featuring clones of Gwen as Doc Ock, Sandman, Kraven and Rhino, respectively.

Into the Gwen-Verse
"Gwen Stacy of Earth-65, AKA Ghost-Spider, teamed up with heroic versions of herself from throughout the Marvel multiverse in the pages of the hit series, SPIDER-GWEN: GWENVERSE," Marvel wrote in its official release. "But this March, she'll have to confront her dark side when twisted clones of herself are molded into Spidey's most iconic villains and unleashed in SPIDER-GWEN: SHADOW CLONES!"
The announcement continues, "To celebrate this villainous new group that will turn Gwen's life upside down, superstar artist Greg Land is back with more homage variant covers. These pinup style covers pay homage to Land's iconic variant cover of EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE #2, Ghost-Spider's first appearance, and will adorn all five issues of the series."
Written by Emily Kim and illustrated by Kei Zama, Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones #1 goes on sale March 1, 2023 from Marvel Comics, followed by issue #2 in April, issue #3 in May, issue #4 in June and issue #5 in July.
