The conclusion of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's current "Batman" arc, "Superheavy," won't arrive until March. But when Yanick Paquette -- who previosuly collaborated with Synder at DC Comics on "Swamp Thing" -- steps in to illustrate February's issue #49, the guest artist will be tackling a major event in its own right.

The solicitation copy for "Batman" #49 reveals that in the penultimate chapter of the current storyline, Bruce Wayne's amnesia is gone, and the former Dark Knight is now confronting his past while making the call on whether to return to the superhero life.

Jim Gordon took up the Dark Knight's mantle for the Gotham City Police Department while Bruce suffered from amnesia following his last fight with the Joker. However, it appears as though Bruce will finally confront his shadowy past this February.

While Paquette is illustrating this chapter, DC Comics has informed CBR that Capullo will return for issue #50, the "Superheavy" conclusion. Capullo is slated to take a short break to work on a new project with Mark Millar.
