As promised, Marvel released an explosive new trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" during "Jimmy Kimmel Live." As if that wasn't enough to get you excited to see everyone's favorite a-holes return this summer, writer and director James Gunn took to Twitter to unveil a brand new poster for the film.

The poster, which you can view below, keeps with the franchise's bright color scheme and sees the Guardians front and center -- including new team members Yondu, Nebula and Mantis. Also included is the film's villain Ayesha, as played by the talented Elizabeth Debicki.

While we still have no clue who he is playing in the film, Sylvester Stallone's name has made it onto the poster beside Ego himself Kurt Russell, indicating his role may just be larger than we've come to expect. With two months left until the film premieres, we'll just have to continue to speculate just what role Sly could possibly play in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe installment.

Written and directed by James Gunn, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2″ stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and franchise newcomer, Kurt Russell, who plays Star-Lord’s father – Ego, the Living Planet. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” arrives in theaters May 5.
