Jackson Sze, Senior Illustrator at Marvel Studios, recently showcased some concept art for Michelle Yeoh’s character Aleta in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The image offers fans a look at the character's development.

According to Sze, director James Gunn made it clear about what he wanted Aleta to look like. Gunn took time to workshop her hair’s design in order to create the specific look he had envisioned. While most of the concept art was used, there remain a few details that didn’t make it in.

Here, Aleta’s outfit seems cleaner-cut than what was used in the film, and it sports more Ravager-themed regalia. Additionally, the concept art shows how she originally had the same golden bands that Sylvester Stallone’s character Starhawk wore, which would have reflected the fact that they were part of an earlier team.

With another Guardians of the Galaxy movie in the works, we may see more of Michelle Yeoh’s Aleta, along with the rest of her team. The old guard group could possibly even team up with Peter Quill’s Guardians to face whatever threat comes their way.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Glenn Close as Irani Rael and Kurt Russell as Ego. The film is currently playing in theaters.
