The Guardians of the Galaxy will crash land in IMAX this May, and -- in anticipation of their arrival -- director James Gunn has unveiled a new poster for their upcoming film on his Twitter. The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" IMAX poster features the film's main characters, who look as if they've been swathed in blacklight.

Naturally, Star-Lord takes center stage with his signature cassette player. His team members Gamora, Drax and Rocket Raccoon are pictured beneath him, and they all look as if they they were captured mid-action. Baby Groot supports the whole team at the very bottom of the poster, where he hoists up a cassette player bearing the film's logo.

The poster also showcases new additions Yondu, Nebula, Mantis and Ayesha. Ayesha, the film's primary antagonist, takes the top spot. Mantis, Nebula and Yondu -- complete with his new head fin -- show up just underneath her. Judging by the trailers, these three characters will become new Guardians over the course of the film.

To reemphasize the fact that this is indeed an IMAX production, the poster also features a tag that reads, "Experience it in IMAX obviously."

Written and directed by James Gunn, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and franchise newcomer, Kurt Russell, who plays Star-Lord’s father Ego, the Living Planet. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" arrives in theaters May 5.
