At this year’s Comic-Con International, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Michael Rooker spoke about the upcoming home release of the film. One of the comments he made suggested that, when the film hits DVD & Blu-Ray later this year, there will be a massive eighty minutes of unseen footage. According to director James Gunn, though, Rooker’s comments were incorrect.
Though the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 home release won’t have eighty minutes of unseen footage, it will include eighty minutes of behind-the-scenes extras.
He means 80 minutes of extras. There are only a few minutes of cut scenes. Forgive him, he’s Rooker. https://t.co/ZhJ6Qlrjrc

While it’s currently unknown what extras will be included, Gunn has confirmed a music video for “Guardians Inferno” from the Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 soundtrack. The video will see the David Hasselhoff joined by some of the Guardians cast, as well as Gunn, in an all-out 80’s themed music video.
Director James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Kurt Russell as Ego. The film will be available on digital release August 8 and on Blu-ray and DVD August 22.
