GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXYComic Book Movie has posted excerpts from the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, which has a very Marvel-centric focus, tying into the release of "Iron Man 3" in the United States. EW spoke with Kevin Feige about Phase Two of the Marvel films, in which the studio head confirmed Zoe Saldana has been cast in "Guardians of the Galaxy."

"Audiences will respond to an alien Zoe Saldana -- because they did respond to that one time before [with 'Avatar']," Feige told EW.

While the quote didn't include confirmation of the role Saldana will play, it's assumed she's been cast as the female lead of Gamora, which she was rumored to be in talks for last month.

THE AVENGERS 2Meanwhile, EW.com states that an unnamed source has confirmed Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are in the current draft of "The Avengers 2," something director Joss Whedon hinted at a few weeks ago. Comic Book Movie has a more complete quote from Kevin Feige taken from the current issue of EW.

"All of the Avengers from the first film will be back and they will be the core team, but what's fun is that the roster shifts," he said. "It was always the intention to have a story line that brought in, obviously, new bad guys and potentially new heroes. I'm not confirming nor denying [Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver], but the draft could change six months from now. If we're going to add new characters, [they're] going to be a major part of the movie."

IRON MAN 3The Hollywood Reporter has evaluated the China-exclusive cut of "Iron Man 3," and as it turns out, there's not much to get excited about. The four extra minutes reportedly have more to do with product placement than anything else -- an ad for Gu Li Duo, a milk drink, appears at the beginning of the film and Wang Xueqi's character Dr. Wu drinks a bottle of it during the film. Other scenes include Dr. Wu having a telephone conversation and operating on Tony Stark toward the end of the film followed by a short conversation with Fan Bingbing.

Collider spoke with Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomers Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hall about their experiences joining up in the "Iron Man" franchise.

FANTASTIC FOURThe Wrap reports a rumor that "Chronicle" star Michael B. Jordan is currently in contention for the role of the Human Torch in Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot. Jordan's other credits include "The Wire" and "Friday Night Lights." The actor worked with Trank in "Chronicle" and has reportedly had "multiple meetings" at Fox. Casting the African American actor as the Human Torch would be a deviation from the comics, where the character is portrayed as white.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIERThe first photos of Anthony Mackie as the Falcon in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" have surfaced, and although it's all on greenscreen, it gives a very good look at what to expect from the character's design for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Comic Book Movie interviewed Kevin Feige at the "Iron Man 3" press junket and has posted a recording of the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" portion of the interview.

MAN OF STEELThe "Man of Steel" fan Facebook page has posted scans of Zack Snyder's interview with SFX Magazine on the Superman reboot.

"I feel like all the movies I've made here have been born out of irony, in a weird way," Snyder told SFX. "Cinematic irony is the staple of the way that I make movies, sadly! The most ironic part of Superman is that it's not ironic. It's serious. And that really interested me. And that goes hand in hand with what I tried to do with it visually - make this a movie that felt real. I know that's an odd thing to say when you're talking about Superman, but I wanted to try and make him feel like he was among us, make you understand why he did certain things. I wanted the audience to go, 'If I was Superman that's what I would have done!' That's the thing you really haven't felt from Superman before -- he's always been foreign, and weird!"

BullettMedia spoke with Michael Shannon about a myriad of topics, and while his role as General Zod is covered, the more surprising revelation comes when he's asked which superhero he'd like to portray.

"Aquaman," Shannon said. "If they ever make a fucking Aquaman movie, I want to be Aquaman."

ARROWIGN spoke with "Arrow" producer Andrew Kreisberg about the current direction and future of the successful CW series, including the possibility of bringing on the Suicide Squad.

"The Suicide Squad is definitely something we've discussed with DC Comics," Kreisberg told IGN. "There's no definitive plans right now to introduce Amanda Waller, but certainly we carefully chose A.R.G.U.S. and did not make Lyla Michaels work for the FBI or CIA. A.R.G.U.S. is the S.H.I.E.L.D. of the DC Universe, and it felt like a fun thing to introduce into our world. And we hope it'll play a bigger role in Season 2."

TRANSFORMERS 4Kelsey Grammer has been cast in "Transformers 4" as the human villain. Grammer's character, Harold Attinger, is described as "a counter-intelligence guy." ENDER'S GAMEEW.com has posted a first look at Sir Ben Kingsley as Mazer Rackham in the upcoming film adaptation of "Ender's Game."

"In the script, which I think is beautifully written, what come across is the authority and mystery," Kingsley told EW. "There's quite a lot said about him in the story before you see him -- by the recruits and by his fellow officers -- and that's useful as far as preparations."

R.I.P.D.Collider has posted a video interview with "R.I.P.D." screenwriters Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay about adapting the Dark Horse Comics series for the big screen.

"I think in reading Peter Lenkov's comic book one of the things that appealed to us about the many things was that there's an opportunity there to make the kind of movie that we grew up loving like 'Blues Brothers,' 'Ghostbusters,'" Manfredi told Collider. "It's something like '48 Hrs.,' a buddy cop movie with a lot of supernatural trapping. It's kind of the best of both worlds for us, you've got the kind of dynamic we love to write and also you have the big spectacle that lends itself to the kind of movies that are big summer movies."
