GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXYIt's been a while since any "Guardians of the Galaxy" news hit the web, and while it's unconfirmed, a new rumor about the film has surfaced. ComicBook.com reports an unnamed source has confirmed Marvel wants to bring Robert Downey Jr. on as Iron Man for "Guardians of the Galaxy." Downey Jr.'s contract with Marvel Studios is up after "Iron Man 3," so he would likely only appear if he signs a new contract. The rumor no doubt comes from the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" comic book series by Brian Michael Bendis and Steve McNiven that is said to feature Iron Man as part of the team.

While it's just a rumor at this point, it would certainly be interesting to see a very tangible link to Earth's Marvel Cinematic Universe in "Guardians of the Galaxy."
