Artist Barak Hardley has put his talents to use over the years, painting intricate representations of pop culture characters on Easter eggs. The AWE Me YouTube channel features videos of Hardley's efforts across 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Among the characters Hardley painted include the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Trek's Spock and Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters.

Other characters Hardley painted include Bruce the Shark from Jaws; Jaws from the James Bond film series; Chun-Li from Street Fighter and Pizza the Hut from Spaceballs. There are even TV show characters, including Saul Goodman from AMC's Better Call Saul and Robin Williams' titular alien from Mork and Mindy.

Hardley keeps an upbeat theme to his eggs, often pairing together similar characters. Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and Frosted Flakes mascot Tony the Tiger share a scene together, as do Kimberly Hart from Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger, Princess Allura from classic Voltron, and The Powerpuff Girls'  Blossom. Hardley also utilizes creative methods for some of his eggs, painting a plain one to look like Big Hero 6's Baymax (despite Hardley admitting he had not seen the movie at the time.)
