If you can't get enough of those lovable Guardians of the Galaxy -- and, really, who can? -- you'll have a chance to experience both the 2015 hit and its new sequel, back to back, in RealD3D.
Director James Gunn has announced a "Guardians of the Galaxy"/"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" double feature will be screened Thursday, May 4, in select theaters, just as the hotly anticipated Marvel Studios sequel is rolling out nationwide.
It's important to note the event will begin at 4:30 p.m., which may mean you'll have to sneak out of work a little early. But, hey, it's the Guardians; it's worth it. Heck, just call off sick and make a day of it.
Attendees will receive an exclusive poster and collectible-button set. Tickets can be purchased on Fandango, where you can search for a participating theater near you.
Set just months after the events of Marvel’s 2014 hit, the sequel follows the Guardians of the Galaxy as they travel throughout the cosmos and struggle to keep their newfound family together, all while helping Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage.
Arriving in theaters May 5, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Glenn Close as Irani Rael and Kurt Russell as Ego.
