Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy star Djimon Hounsou isn't giving up hope on a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During an interview for The King's Man at New York Comic-Con, Hounsou was asked about his previous work in comic book properties for Marvel Studios and DC/Warner Bros, where he pointed out how a character's revealed how Guardians of the Galaxy's Korath could make a return.

"Well don't forget, I mean, we're playing superheroes," Hounsou told ComicBook.com. "We're playing indestructible people so I get to come back at any given time. No matter how much you have executed me. I get to come back so it's fun."

In the last few years, Hounsou has played superheroes and villains across two cinematic universes. The actor first came to the MCU as Korath in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy and reprised the role in this Captain Marvel. During his time away from the MCU, he appeared in two DC Extended Universe films: Aquaman's Fisherman King Ricou and the Wizard in Shazam.

With characters leaving and coming back to the MCU so regularly, Hounsou's return would not be too farfetched.

Helmed by Matthew Vaughn, The King's Man stars Hounsou along with Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode and Tom Hollander. The film will arrive in theaters on February 14, 2020.
