According to director James Gunn, fans can expect more from the late Yondu's right-hand-man, Kraglin, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

During a recent Instagram story, a fan asked Gunn if Kraglin would play a bigger part in the upcoming third installment of Guardians, to which he simply replied "Yes." Further details about Kraglin's role weren't shared.

Portrayed in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1 and Vol. 2 by Sean Gunn, Kraglin is first shown as a member of Yondu's Ravagers group. After Yondu's death in the second film, Kraglin is shown traveling with the Guardians of the Galaxy and was even gifted Yondu's fin and arrow. It's worth noting that Sean Gunn also provided the motion-capture work for Rocket Raccoon in both films.

Currently, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is planned to begin in February of next year, after Gunn finishes his duties as director/writer of the upcoming DC film, The Suicide Squad. Despite Marvel Studios having delayed several upcoming films and productions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently still on schedule.

Gunn also recently hinted that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be his last film in the franchise, saying "I have no plans to do a 4th."

Written and directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 does not currently have a release date.
