Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star and Kraglin Obfonteri actor Sean Gunn revealed the relationship between Kraglin and his fellow Guardians character Cosmo the Spacedog.

At the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Global Press Conference, Gunn was asked by moderator and co-star Nathan Fillion what Kraglin and Cosmo's relationship was, to which Gunn replied, "They're frenemies." The Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran went on to add, "Kraglin's kind of leading Cosmo a little bit, leading her along a little bit. But in a way, you can only do to friends," something that Fillion jokingly remarked was true.

On the topic of Cosmo, returning franchise writer/director and Gunn's older brother James explained why Cosmo's gender was changed from male to female in the MCU back in 2022. "Cosmo is based on Laika, a female Soviet space dog who died in orbit in 1957," the filmmaker commented to a fan who brought up the change. "I'm just going back to the original source material." Additionally, Cosmo's actor, Maria Bakalova, who was already a fan of the MCU, talked about being cast as Cosmo, calling her joining the franchise "a dream come true" and calling the fans "so welcoming and warm."

A recent report announced over 600 different versions of Guardians 3 will be released in theaters, with Disney's vice president of finishing and stereo Evan Jacobs stating, "It's definitely the most complex delivery Marvel's ever done." Jacobs further stated that the objective of this plan is to "give every exhibitor in the United States and in most international territories [the ability to] maximize their screen size for the audience. So wherever you go to see it, you’re gonna see the best version."

It was also confirmed by James Gunn that the Guardians of the Galaxy's cinematic swan song will have the MCU's first uncensored f-bomb. However, according to Peter Quill/Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt, whose character will drop the f-bomb in question, Gunn ignored a warning from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige about it. "From my understanding, the story goes that Kevin Feige talked to James Gunn and said, 'Listen, you don't wanna be the guy who's known for having the first F-word in your movie,'" Pratt said. "And James goes, 'Yes I do! Don't you know me? That's exactly what I want.' And, so, they kept it in."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5.
