Get ready, Marvel fans! "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Vin Diesel, who lends his voice to fan-favorite character Groot in the film, made the big announcement on his Facebook page. "My brother James wanted me to let you all know that you can purchase tickets tomorrow for this film's may release," he wrote on the post, referring to director James Gunn. "Exciting!"

The actor also shared his appreciation for the franchise. "So proud to be a part of this franchise," he shared. "So proud to play one of the most interesting characters the screen has ever seen. Blessed."

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" doesn't hit theaters until early May, which means fans will have about a month to secure their tickets before the big day arrives. The film will follow the continuing adventures of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and -- of course -- Groot as they try to save the galaxy (again). In it, the team will add new members Nebula, Yondu and Mantis and they'll run into Star-Lord's father Ego the Living Planet.

In the first film, titled simply "Guardians of the Galaxy," Groot was much, much different. Built like a tree, he towered over the other characters and constantly revealed new, deadly powers as he protected his friends. In the conclusion, he sacrificed himself to save everyone else. However, that was not the end for Groot. Rocket saved a splinter of his friend and planted it, only for a new Groot to grow out of the ashes. Affectionately referred to as Baby Groot, this new version of the character -- still voiced by Vin Diesel -- remains a fully fledged member of the team, complete with his own little Guardians jacket. This new little Groot has already mustered up a lot of buzz and inspired fans to get creative. Gunn insists the decision to keep the character pint-sized was a “creative change,” and not driven by merchandising.

Written and directed by James Gunn, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and franchise newcomer, Kurt Russell, who plays Star-Lord’s father Ego, the Living Planet. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” arrives in theaters May 5.
