It's been a good week for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" fans. In addition to the announcement that director James Gunn would return to write and direct "Vol. 3," the movie has received extremely positive early reviews. Now, to top all of that off, several scenes from the film are online for your viewing pleasure.

In the scene, the Guardians take on an Abilisk, which Gunn teased in early stages of the movie's production as "a multi-dimensional creature" that "the Guardians have been hired to fight." The scene shows Drax coming up with a creative, if ultimately ineffective, strategy to take on the thick-hided beast.

Marvel has released other clips as well. In the first, we see an expanded version of Rocket warning Groot not to press the "death button," which appeared in the first teaser trailer. The third, and final, clip shows the team evading enemy fire and going to battle with a Sovereign fleet. The clip also shows Nebula as an apparent prisoner of the Guardians.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"  picks up just after the events of the first film. The second installment will follow the Guardians as they struggle to keep their group together while helping Peter Quill learn about his true parentage.
