EntertainmentTonight has released an exclusive deleted scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 where Peter "Star-Lord" Quill (Chris Pratt) explores the wonders of the Zune mp3 player.

In 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, young Peter Quill was given a mixtape along and a Sony Walkman by his dying mother, right before he was abducted by the Ravagers in the late 1980s. The Walkman became his prized possession and held up remarkably well considering its decades in space, but -- at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 -- Pratt's character received a more modern musical device: a Microsoft Zune.

The Zune music players were first launched in 2006 as a rival to the iPod, but -- by the time they were discontinued in 2011 -- Zune had become widely regarded as one of the biggest flops in the tech industry. The idea that anyone would be excited about getting a Zune was the gag, and the deleted scene expands on the comedy moment. In the clip, Kraglin (Sean Gunn) shows an engrossed Quill how to use the Zune while running down some of his favorite artists like Alice Cooper and Thin Lizzy. It doesn't take long before the two actors break down in laughter.

Written and directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell. It is now available on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes and on DVD and Blu-ray on August 22, 2017.
