Vance Astro will not be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, despite being an original member, and leader, of the GOTG roster in Marvel Comics. A few of the characters friends from the comics, including Martinex and Charlie-27, appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, so it seems as if he's missed his chance.RELATED: Thor: Ragnarok Toy Seems to Confirm Major GOTG Vol. 2 ConnectionTalking at this weekend's HASCON, writer and director James Gunn discussed the chances of the character showing up in the next chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy story -- although he indicated it's not too likely. When asked what the chances are of Vance Astro's inclusion, he answered "Not great, I'm done with the treatment."

Vance Astro, much like Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, is originally from Earth, but ended up on an action-packed adventure around the cosmos. In 1988, Astro volunteered to be a part of a government trip into space but, of course, things didn't go according to plan. We know Gunn has taken on a role at Marvel Studios that'll see him flesh out the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so not all hope is lost for a future inclusion.

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Guardians of the Galaxy join forces to take down Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, which will undoubtedly be the spectacle fans have long waited for. However, one of the film’s stars insists just having Iron Man and Star-Lord together in one room is an experience in itself.

“I’m excited about some of the stuff we did, but I don’t know what’s going to make it in the film,” Drax actor Dave Bautista recently explained in an interview. “I always thought there would be a lot of good interaction between Tony Stark and Drax, and there was. And Star-Lord and Tony Stark as well. When you put those two guys in a room together, it’s like a spontaneous combustion. Talk about two talented guys who are so witty and smart and honed-in on their craft. It was a spectacle, and I’m so excited I got to witness it firsthand.”
