Marvel Reveals the Fate of the Guardians of the Galaxy in Special One-Shot

Back in January, Marvel left Guardians of the Galaxy fans hanging when the Black Order created a black hole that sucked in multiple cosmic heroes. Those who made it through the issue alive later banded together to become the new Guardians.

According to Newsarama, all will be revealed in June, when Cosmo the Space Dog will fill readers in on what happened to the heroes who were pulled into the black hole – namely Nova, Quasar, Adam Warlock, and Darkhawk -- in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1. With a cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli, the issue boasts talent like Donny Cates, Al Ewing, Tini Howard, Zac Thompson, Lonnie Nadler, Yildiray Cinar, Ibrahim Moustafa, Felipe Andrade and more.

"Oh man, just wait. I know we say that all the time, but I like to think by now that you guys trust me when I tell you things are going to be big," Cates said in a statement. "The last page of this annual will kind of spell out the big throughline for the rest of my Guardians run."

Cates will write the annual with Tini Howard, Al Ewing, Zack Thompson, and Lonnie Nadler. Yildiray Cinar, Ibrahim Moustafa, Felipe Andrade are among the artists attached. The issue will release in June. Meanwhile, Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw's Guardians of the Galaxy #3 goes on sale March 20.
