It might not look like it, but Drax is probably the most powerful being in the Marvel universe. After all, you can't kill what you can see; Drax has mastered the ability to stand so incredibly still that he becomes invisible to the eye. This makes the stabby discount Hulk a formidable opponent. For all we know, he's actually been in all the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, we just can't see him.

Meanwhile, in comic books, Drax is no slouch. He's by no means the strongest, the fastest, or the smartest. He is, however, one of the toughest. Drax's ability to outlast opponents in a fight is essential since he's also nicknamed 'the Destroyer.' As such, he has a penchant for obliterating big bad baddies who are stronger and bigger than him. Here are some of those said baddies in case you're not convinced that Drax is more underutilized than Hulk in the MCU.

10 KING LAHCING

Drax readies for battle in comics

King Lahcing was not the first alien monarch Drax got to destroy but the former was one of the latter's most dramatic victims. During one of Drax's hunts in his favorite planet, he came across an alien slaver colony.

Everything would have been fine if only those slavers didn't rob Drax of all his favorite creatures to hunt. Drax's investigation led to the alien kingdom ruled by Lahcing. Drax slaughtered all of them, including their king. This act, however, was not as noble as Drax thought out to be...

9 SLAVES

Turns out, there was a reason King Lahcing's slaves pleaded Drax not to kill their master. Being his dumb and unreasonable self, Drax did it anyway. Soon after he slaughtered King Lahcing, all of the slaves died. Drax soon found out that the slaves were equipped with a device programmed to administer poison in the event of King Lahcing's demise.

That pretty much meant the poor slaves' blood was on Drax's hand since he could have prevented such a massacre. Eventually, Drax realized that his violent tendencies lead to more innocents being harmed than saved (who'd have thought?).

8 ISAAC

Drax has destroyed all sorts of beings and among them is a computer called the Integral Synaptic Anti-Anionic Computer (ISAAC) which controls the utility functions of Titan, Thanos' homeworld. Not surprisingly, ISAAC wanted to continue Thanos' plans even after the purple alien himself was defeated by Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell).

Drax, furious that he never got the chance to kill Thanos (as he was made for this purpose) set out to destroy ISAAC, with Captain Marvel in tow. After a long struggle and a weird adventure, the two managed to put an end to ISAAC and its tendency to channel Thanos, at least temporarily. Marvel and Drax even teamed up against Chaos, an Eternal created by ISAAC.

7 CHITAURI

Chitauri Soldier Avengers 2012

After the slaves' deaths, Drax was pretty fed up with bloodshed. It wasn't until he got hold of the Power Stone during a Chitauri invasion that he managed to get his drive back for killing. The Chitauri invaded the desert planet of Xitaung where the Power Stone was being kept. The incident led to a three-way war between the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Nova Corps, and the Chitauri.

During the battle, Peter Quill managed to get a hold of the Power Stone which he immediately passed over to Drax so he could do some nasty damage to the Chitauri armada. Needless to say, Drax went loose on them like a hungry wolf pouncing on raw venison.

6 200,000 SKRULLS

Skrulls in Captain Marvel

The Chitauri wasn't the only alien race Drax slaughtered in hordes. The Skrulls also had the displeasure of being slain by Drax - 200,000 of them... allegedly. After Drax's tenure with the Infinity Watch (keepers of the Infinity Stones/Gems), he was shown aboard a prison spaceship after the Nova Corps accused him of murdering 200,000 Skrulls.

Whether Drax was guilty was never clarified... but it's possible he really did slaughter that many Skrulls. He was en route to being transported to an intergalactic prison; the journey and prison sentence was cut short when the ship crash-landed on Earth along with other prisoners...

5 LUNATIK

As expected, Drax wasn't the only intergalactic prisoner who crash-landed on Earth. He ended up surrounded by scum older and more vicious than he ever was. In fact, four of them killed him and burned his corpse. Little did they know, Drax would only metamorphose into the next version of himself - one that's more mature and murderous.

Drax's first target for revenge was Lunatik, one of the prisoners who killed him. Lunatik was a 600 million-year-old organism with no morals whatsoever. The criminal being could also regenerate his entire form from scratch. That wasn't a problem for Drax, though; the newly reincarnated antihero decapitate Lunatik before proceeding to crush his head so that he would not regenerate again. Afterward, Drax moved on to his next revenge victim...

4 BLOOD BROTHERS

The Blood Brothers were two of the four people who killed Drax and caused his metamorphosis. Prior to their imprisonment, Gary and Ross Blood were former minions of Thanos. As you can guess, these two were pretty hardcore and were in the same boat as Drax (both literally and figuratively).

Drax sought out revenge against them and after a brutal fight, managed to kill Ross. Essentially, Drax destroyed the Blood Brother duo since only one of them was left standing, which might be crueler than killing both of them.

3 ULTRON & HIS PHALANX

Avengers Age of Ultron

Like Drax, Ultron has traveled around the Marvel universe despite his humble origins on Earth. After having failed many times on Earth, Ultron turned his sights to the Kree alien race. With a new Phalanx army in tow, the murder bot set out to cause mayhem in a different world.

It was only through the combined efforts of Nova, Gamora, Warlock, Tyro, and Drax that Ultron and his Phalanx were defeated. Sure, Drax had some help, but in some way, he still played a hand in Ultron's ultimate defeat.

2 MAGUS

Marvel Comics' Magus with the Infinity Gauntlet

Back when Drax was still a member of the Infinity Watch, he had a hand in a pretty impressive feat involving Magus, the dark side of Adam Warlock. Since Adam Warlock is one of the most powerful superheroes in Marvel, Magus is a threat to everything.

At one point (specifically in the Infinity War arc of 1992), Magus proved to be nearly unstoppable; so much so, even the likes of Thanos opted to help in order to defeat him. Drax was also instrumental in defeating Magus.

1 THANOS

Drax kills Thanos

Despite all the other characters Drax destroyed, he was made for the sole purpose of instinctively ending Thanos' existence. How'd he fare? Well, he's pretty bad at it. The only time Drax destroyed Thanos was when the Mad Titan was preoccupied... with saving the universe from Annihilus.

That's a pretty dirty and dishonorable move on Drax's part but hey, you gotta go when you gotta go. In Drax's case, he really just had to destroy Thanos. He did atone for that blunderous mistake though and still managed to save the universe from Annihilus by releasing Galactus (which was Thanos' plan all along).
