Grimlock made his big screen debut in 2014's "Transformers: Age of Extinction," and will return as a member of the metallic cast of "Transformers: The Last Knight." Fans who may have been disappointed in the Dinobot's live-action debut will be happy to learn that the brutish Autobot will have a much larger role in the fifth film of the franchise, along with an expanded personality.

"[Grimlock]’s funny. He’s like a naughty dog in this movie. He’s really sheepish when he does something wrong," producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura told Collider. "He’s a great character. He’s really–we’re bringing out a side of him that you’re going to like–you’re going to relate to."

In the "Transformers" animated series, the Dinobots were fierce fighters, but also provided comic relief from their preferred method of speaking in the third person. One can imagine Grimlock will be the source of many comedic bits in "The Last Knight," while also being given a more prominent role aside from Optimus Prime riding on top of him like in "Age of Extinction."

Opening June 23, 2017, “Transformers: The Last Knight” stars franchise veterans Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro, joined by newcomers Isabela Moner, Liam Garrigan, Jerrod Carmichael, Mitch Pileggi, Laura Haddock, Santago Cabrera and Anthony Hopkins.
