According to Us Magazine, Ryan Reynolds was injured while shooting the film. " the 33-year-old actor - who plays the title character - separated his shoulder and 'is in lots of pain,' an insider tells Us. 'He's been keeping ice on it,'" they write. Meanwhile, the first shot of the actor in his GL uniform has appeared online. Here at CBR, we spotted the Entertainment Weekly cover early this morning:
It's interesting how that familiar Ring-Fist-Face composition occurs again. Also, it looks like the uniform is still forming around him.

As we reported in our Comic Reel Double Shot yesterday, Mark Ruffalo is currently the bandied about name to take over Ed Norton's recently vacated purple hotpants. The story continued to develop as Heat Vision calls the early reports of the actor being in "late stage talks" premature. "According to sources, Ruffalo does have an offer to play the monstrous hero but not only has he not decided whether he wants the role, he has yet to meet the film's director, Joss Whedon. Talks are underway for the actor and the director to meet at the end of this week or this weekend.," they write. Keep in mind Whedon is still not confirmed as director. Some sites and blogs have noticed yesterday's Los Angeles Times article about "Thor" and "Captain America" going 3D mentions former Doctor Who David Tennant as a contender for the hotpants.
Release date: May 4th, 2012

Moviehole followed up on some of the previous "Superman" rumors of recent weeks. "Jonathan Nolan is not onboard yet, but it looks like he will get the job. Jonah wants to direct, Chris wants to land him that gig, WB doesn't want to upset Chris. That said, it is far from a done deal -- but with Chris and Emma producing, the odds are with Jonah - kind of like Michael Mann producing his daughter's first feature: 'How bad could things go?'" says their source. The studio insider also confirms the studio is eying a TV star to take the role. Of course, without out the director officially working on the project, casting has not truly begun.
Release date: 2012?
Our pals at Spinoff Online have the next character poster from the film, featuring John Malkovich in fatigues and looking pretty crazy:

THE WALKING DEAD
According to The Walking Dead Podcast, the character of Sophia will witness her father's death, a change from the comic. "This will most likely end up being a flash-back during the episode; something I am very fond of. I really enjoy the idea of flash-back episodes (LOST) to give us better story for the characters," writes TWDP's Corey Anderson. The site previously reported actress Madison Lintz has been cast in the part, but still lists that info as rumor.
Though I've enjoyed the length of my hair of late, I'm getting it cut down a bit today. Really, it's just so my neck can properly vent the sweat that will no doubt build up as the heat rises in the convention center next week. I also need to pick up some hand sanitizer and glucose tablets to keep me going. I also have my steno pad, batteries for my voice recorder, and so on. It seems over the years, my prep has become longer and longer. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of a forgotten prep item.
