Each of Earth's Green Lanterns have a distinct style when it comes to how they wield the greatest weapon in the universe. For Guy Gardner, every Lantern fan's favorite lovable, hard-headed badass, wielding the ring is all about attitude.

Hal Jordan once described Guy's ring as a, "leaky water faucet. Sparks always fly even when he's just standing still. His willpower can't wait to get free. He opens it up and attitude disappears in a storm of emerald energy." As a result, Guy's constructs tend to lean into that attitude, one of an all-American, football playing, ex-cop.

10 Hockey Stick

In the underappreciated and short-lived Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Guy Gardner introduces himself to Hal Jordan as his replacement on Earth. After being off-planet for quite awhile, the Guardians of the Universe chose Guy to protect Hal's home sector.  The two get into a classic hero vs. hero brawl, until drawn together to fend off the threat of the Manhunters. In their fight against that emotionless terror, Guy constructs a bevy of sporting equipment, but no image is cooler than Guy fighting off a robot with a hockey stick Casey Jones style.

9 Map of Unknown Sectors

In Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #1, Guy Gardner pleads his case to the Guardians of the Universe that a squad of Green Lanterns must traverse the unknown sectors to snuff out threats before they get too dangerous. Guy presents the Guardians with a map of the Unknown Sectors on a black board, taking some of the oldest beings in existence to school. This is a totally out-of-character moment for Guy, as school supplies don't usually fit in with his usual M.O. of sports, fighting, and beer.

8 Giant Boot

The Blackest Night event saw many members of the relatively recently rebuilt Green Lantern Corps die in the fight against Nekron and his army of undead Black Lanterns.

Stricken with grief, Guy, fellow Earth-Lantern Kyle Rayner, and Arisia Rrab attempt to meet with the Guardians to discuss their disagreements about the management of the Corps in Green Lantern Corps #47. When told that the Guardians' schedule is too busy, Guy, impatient as always, kicks down the door with a mighty boot. Not even the Guardians could strike any kind of fear into Guy's heart.

7 The DC Universe's Greatest Villains

In the lead-up to the final confrontation between Superman and Doctor Manhattan in Doomsday Clock, the heroes of the DC Universe travel to Mars to confront the infamous blue deity. Of course, of all the people ready to stand up and fight against Dr. Manhattan, our boy Guy Gardner has to be the first. He creates constructs of all of Earth's greatest foes and explains how they knocked down each and every one of them. And then, in one incredible act of defiance, Guy of course throws the first punch.

6 Motorcycle

Another great moment from Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #1, the Guy Gardner-led series spinning out of the events of Blackest Night. In the middle of recording his last will and testament, knowing that he'll have to go down a dark road in the wake of his agreement with Atrocitus and the Red Lanterns in Blackest Night, a group of thieves steals weapons out in space. Naturally, in order to catch up and stop them, ex-cop and now space-cop Guy Gardner builds himself a motorcycle in space to stop them. Just say those words out loud: Space. Motorcycle.

5 Recliner

Ah yes, there's nothing quite like getting your lounge on in space. After explaining the importance of his mission to the Unknown Sectors in Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors, Guy takes a load off. After explaining his plan to venture into deep space, Guy's expecting the Guardians to argue with him about the insanity of his plan.

So, to prepare for this long argument he's ready to have, he gets comfortable in his favorite emerald chair. There's something so Guy about sitting in front of his bosses in a Lay-Z-Boy and kicking his feet up.

4 Monster Truck

Green Lantern: Godhead saw the Green Lantern Corps fight Highfather in his quest to take the Life Equation using the seven rings of the emotional spectrum. Naturally the Corps rallies members from every shade of the spectrum to rally to their cause and fight against the tyranny of Highfather and the armies of New Genesis. In an iconic action scene, Guy fights side by side with Kyle Rayner in an enormous mech, General Zod, Arkillo with a horrible yellow space snake structure, and Orion of New Genesis. What does Guy bring to the table? A damn monster truck.

3 Red Lantern Chainsaw

During Blackest Night, in an attempt to prevent the Black Lanterns from consuming the willpower of an enormous Green Lantern power battery, Kyle Rayner sacrifices himself and destroys it with a massive explosion. After watching one of his best friends die, Guy is consumed with an all-encompassing rage and chosen by a Red Lantern power ring.

Guy goes on a rampage, slaughtering Black Lanterns by the dozen, and in one shining moment, he whips out a red chainsaw of rage. We would eventually see Guy leading the Red Lantern Corps in his own series Red Lanterns a few years later, featuring some of the weirdest characters in DC cosmic history. It's safe to say that no other Lantern would wield the red ring with such style and heavy metal energy.

2 "Bye Bye Bats"

Green Lantern Corps: Recharge saw Guy and Kyle Rayner set out to rebuild the Green Lantern Corps in the wake of Hal Jordan's return in Green Lantern: Rebirth. Kyle at the time was the Green Lantern member of Earth's Justice League, and travels to the Watchtower to let them know he's leaving. Guy stays outside and waits for Kyle to finish his emotional goodbyes, as he's never been in good standing with the League, even when he was a member. As Kyle sets out to leave, Guy pulls his pants down and moons the League, with a special message for Batman.

1 "Beer Me."

This is possibly the most Guy Gardner panel in existence. In Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps #44, he walks up to a cosmic bar in his classic Warriors t-shirt, he sits right down and argues with the bartender about his right to a beer. The bartender argues with him, says the last time Guy walked in here, he had to renovate the entire place. But Guy's on a mission to recruit Arkillo and the Yellow Lanterns in the Corps' fight against the Darkstars, and won't be denied. Yet there's one other mission Guy's on in this moment, the most important mission of all: beer.
