Ryan Reynolds just can't seem to live down his stint in Green Lantern, as seen with him taking shots at the gig over the course of two Deadpool movies to quiet fans and critics alike. Well, one of that film's writers Marc Guggenheim has now responded to Deadpool 2's jabs, acknowledging that their film did tank.RELATED: Infinity War Inches Closer to $2 Billion as Deadpool 2 Passes LoganGuggenheim, who writes comics as well as television shows such as Arrow, took the high road on Twitter, instead opting to congratulate Reynolds, also a writer on Deadpool 2, for his sense of humor about things and overall box office success.

In this sequel, Reynolds' Wade Wilson decided to right the wrongs of the past in a post-credits stinger which saw the Merc with a Mouth time-travel and actually kill Reynolds before he could get Guggenheim's script into production in a very funny, meta scene.

The first film had Deadpool joking about Hal Jordan's animated suit from Martin Campbell's movie, which was panned critically and ended up not getting a follow-up due to a weak box office showing.
