GREEN LANTERNDirector Martin Campbel discuses the film with the Hindustan Times (via Comic Book Movie). "His powers are psychological. They're to do with 'will' and the enemy is the 'fear', as opposed to Superman who sort of runs into a phone box, gets the old spandex on and off he goes," says the director what makes the project compelling to him. Asked if Hollywood is a superhero bender, he responds, "Yes, a lot of people are making superhero movies, but I'm very excited about my first superhero movie." Meanwhile, Geoff Johns says of on the DC Source blog blog that you will love Mark Strong as Sinestro in the film. "Powerful, regal, intimidating. Mark clearly has done his research and embraced every aspect of what makes Sinestro one of the greatest, most complex characters within the vast, epic universe of the Green Lantern Corps. I think you'll be as psyched as I am when you finally see him," he writes.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011GHOST RIDER: SPIRITS OF VENGENCEHeat Vision reports Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the directors of "Crank" and its sequel are in early negotiations to direct "Ghost Rider: Spirits of Vengence." Nicolas Cage is also in early talks to revive his Elvis-enhanced version of Johnny Blaze. "The studio faced a ticking clock scenario in where if it didn't act on a sequel soon, the rights to the franchise would have reverted to Marvel. It even considered the possibility of going ahead without Cage," they write. With all that said, I hope this comes to pass. The "Crank" boys make movies I really enjoy watching and their style could bring a lot to the concept. Also, it might give me a chance to finally interview Cage.Release date: TBATHE WALKING DEADAs we covered here on CBR yesterday, AMC's official "Walking Dead" blog officially released the first official of actor Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes:

Oh, but there's more! Our pals at Spinoff Online spotted this awesome photo an Ain't It Cool News Reader sent in to that site:

But, wait, there's still more! Bloody Disgusting (via MTV News) has learned actor Chandler Riggs has been cast as Carl Grimes, Rick's son. I suppose I should mention, despite the kind soul that lent me the Omnibus edition, I still haven't started reading the series.

Airdate: OctoberBLUE BEETLEYesterday, we also reported further developments on Geoff Johns' talk of a live action "Blue Beetle" test shoot. Turns out he used that same Source blog post mentioned above to show off some still from the test:

Meanwhile, Johns also posted to his Twitter account the following: "FYI to Jaime Reyes fans: Got the okay to show the Blue Beetle test in San Diego!! :) Again, not a sure thing but a work in progress."

Release date: TBAWONDER WOMAN"Bronson" director Nicholas Winding Refn outlines some ideas he has for a "Wonder Woman" film to Moveline. "Where 'Wonder Woman' on one hand is a great female character who can be included in many great fight scenes, she doesn't have great villains against her. OK, so you create some. She doesn't have a Joker or those classic Batman kinds of guys. But she does have her whole world that she comes from, which is fascinating. The whole idea of a woman who is basically more powerful than any man - and who will always be that, and comes from a society of women who are more powerful than men - is an interesting theme that I think can be very contemporary," says Refn. "Here, it's basically coming up with who would be a great counterpart to Wonder Woman. Is it her mother who's the real enemy? Something that's biblical in a sense." Of course, this all just thinking out loud. "I haven't heard from D.C. [Comics] yet," laughs the director.

Release date: TBATHE PHANTOMHere at CBR, star Ryan Carnes discusses taking on the role and encourages fans of the character to give the miniseries a try. "I would challenge them to just watch it and see if they don't enjoy it," says the actor.

Make your conjecture on what it could be referring to now.Airs: Fridays this FallHUNTING FOR COLLECTIBLES I'm something of a completist. I have every appearance of Jack Knight in a long box. I'll probably buy the Eleven Doctors set at Comic-Con if the Eighth Doctor is not made available separately. In video games, I'll spend hours tracking down the collectibles just to get that 100% stat. It's an affliction with no known cure. It can useful in certain pursuits, but just downright silly in others.
