Add another name to Warner Bros.' purported wish list of actors to star as Hal Jordan in "Green Lantern Corps."

Following Friday's report that they studio is eyeing Tom Cruise, Joel McHale, Bradley Cooper, Armie Hammer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds, star of 2011's "Green Lantern," for the role, We Got This Covered appears to have uncovered another potential contender.

According to the website, while attempting to corroborate the original story, it learned from an unnamed source that Reynolds and Hammer are indeed being considered. In addition, the source revealed, “I’ve heard one more name, too. Ever since 'Westworld,' Marsden has been pretty hot around here. They’ve discussed him for Hal as well.”

Marsden is of course no stranger to superhero films, having originated the role of Cyclops in Fox's "X-Men" franchise before playing Richard White in "Superman Returns."

Announced in October 2014 as part of Warner Bros.’ ambitious DC movie slate, development of “Green Lantern Corps” kicked into gear last week with the news that David S. Goyer "Man of Steel," "Batman v Superman") and Justin Rhodes ("Contract Killers") have been tapped to pen the feature, based on a story by Goyer and DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.

"Green Lantern Corps" is targeted for release in 2020.
