Green Lantern, Captain America, Joe the Barbarian: July 27th Comic Reel

Our pals over at Spinoff Online have the first four character posters from the film. Each contains a bit of the oath and a character. Since we haven't seen him before, here's a glimpse of Sinestro:

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

Reader Ian tipped me off to this Entertainment Weekly video in which Hugo Weaving discusses the Red Skull and director Joe Johnston reveals he is working with Hydra. There's even a logo on Johnston's iPhone. Unfortunately, the video is not embedable. The director also mentions that he would not call the movie a war film. "It's certainly not 'Saving Private Ryan'," he said.

Starring Chris Evans, release date: July 22nd, 2011

According to Robot 6, the miseries is big screen bound. "Thunder Road just called me today and said we can officially announce it, so I'm quite happy about that," says their source, who just happens to be Grant Morrison, the writer or the eight issue series.

Release date: TBA

The Wrap hears singer/songwriter/screenwriter/novelist/Australian Nick Cave is set to take a pass at the script. "Hiring Cave to rewrite Norrington's script is a bold move, but it may prove to be worth it in the long run, as Cave may be the perfect choice to help resurrect the fading franchise," they write. Long ago, Cave wrote a treatment for a "Gladiator" sequel which cast Maximus as an "eternal warrior," bouncing through the major conflicts in human history from his time on through to the present day. If you've never heard "Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds," do so right now.

Release date: TBA

Here at CBR, we have a write up on the "DC Showcase" panel which featured producers Bruce Timm and Greg Weisman, writer Joe Lansdale, Jonah Hex voice Thomas Jane and, briefly, Jerry O'Connell. He will be lending his voice of Captain Marvel in a new short available only on collection of the Showcase shorts which is due out in November. The new short, "Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam" will be twenty-two minutes long. Reader Andrew let me know the project is listed at IMDB as "DC Showcase Delivery", but the page has little else.

Release date: November 9th, 2010

So guess what we all did not notice while Comic-Con was happening? The return of Godzilla. Turns out Legendary Pictures had an Augmented Reality display at the Convention which added atomic breath to con-goers (Oh, the joke I could write here is just too obvious). They received a t-shirt with an nice look at how the character might look in the final film. Comingsoon.net grabbed a nice picture of it:

Turns out I actually received one of these shirts as well, but it took unpacking to find it.

Release date: TBA

Thanks to Daily Motion and teaser-trailer.com, it's trailer time:

Release date: May 13th, 2011

Momentum Pictures made a trailer available on YouTube:

It's somewhat hilarious to see a light-hearted romp being advertised as from "the director of 'The Queen'."

Release date: TBA

The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex blog points to this YouTube video which just happens to contain a trailer for the film:

A slightly different version played at the Comic-Con panel, but this thing really looks out of control.

Release date: March 25th, 2011

Here only because I love the film, Collider has info on the Blu-Ray gift set for the film. In addition to the features from the previous DVD release, the set will have a new board game, magazines, and storyboard reproductions. Oh, there's also a trailer:

Release date: November 2nd, 2010
